1. Do I need a fishing license to fish from the creek in the park?

You need a fishing license to fish from Greenville Creek in the park.

2. Do I need a fishing license to fish in the lagoons?

No, a license is not required to fish in the ponds or lagoons.  We ask that you throw back any Tilapia caught as they help to keep our ponds clean.

3. When does the Swimming Pool open?

The city pool opens on Memorial Day and closes the day before the Darke County Fair. Pool hours are 12pm-6pm daily.

4. How do I purchase a pool pass?

Pool passes can be purchased at the park office up to Memorial Day and at the pool on Memorial Day and thereafter. Pool passes are available on this website under “FORMS” All other information is available on the form.

5. How do I reserve a shelter?

Call the park office for available dates and shelters. 937-548-2315. Shelter fees vary according to size.

Shelter house rental forms are available on this website under “FORMS” You may pay in person at the park office or send your payment to the address at the top of the form. If mailing, please enclose payment (check or money order). A receipt will be mailed back to you.

North and South Park Shelters are first come first serve and are not available for rent.

6. Can I rent the Gazebo, the Fort or the Band shell?

The Gazebo is available to rent at $50 per hour.  Call for available dates and times

The Fort is rented out by both the day and overnight.  Daily fees are $75 per day, and overnight is $125.  Call for available dates.

The rental fee for the Band Shell is $75 per hour.  Call for availability.

All three rentals require a reservation form to be filled out.  You may download the form on this website under “FORMS.”

7. Can I reserve the pool for a private party?

Yes, please call the park office for available dates. 937-548-2315. The pool rents for $75 per hour. A cert. of liability must accompany your pool application rental agreement. Parties may be scheduled before or after pool hours. (Pool hours are 1pm-7pm daily) Please schedule your pool party at least 2 weeks prior to party date.

8. Does it cost to play Horseshoes or Shuffleboard?

No, it does not. The Horseshoe Court is always open, but please call the park office a week in advance for access to the Shuffleboard Court.
