Who do I contact if I am planning any projects that require digging?
You are required by law to call the Ohio Utilities Protection Services (OUPS) at 1-800-362-2764, 48 hours before you dig, excluding weekends and holidays. You are required by law to mark by paint or stakes and maintain the markings until all utilities have been marked. In most cases, anything buried underground that is damaged, repair costs are charged to the person responsible. Notifying and maintaining markings of where you are going to dig will help achieve a safer, delay-free project.

What is the snow removal policy of the City?
The City of Greenville will plow the streets from curb to curb for any snowfall greater than 2 inches. If this situation should occur, citizens should wait until the City has plowed by their residence before shoveling, this will eliminate the crews from plowing areas that the citizens have already shoveled. Citizens are encouraged to park their vehicles in their driveway or alley where possible until their street is plowed from curb to curb.
