Sanitary Sewer Services
The City of Greenville is responsible for maintaining the main sanitary lines only.  The property owner is responsible for maintaining their line from their home or business to their connection in the main line.  Should any problems exist, always contact the City first.  This could possibly eliminate a plumber's expense for you as it may be the main line, which is the City's responsibility. Contact the Street Department Monday through Friday 7 AM - 3 PM at 548-2215. After hours contact the Greenville Police Department at 548-1103.

Storm Sewer Services
The City of Greenville maintains all catch basins which removes the overflow of storm water throughout the City.

Leaf Pickup
Generally, the City of Greenville will begin the annual leaf removal service the first week of November each year. Leaf pickup will be done on your trash day .  Citizens are encourage to monitor the newspaper and cable Channel 5 for the status of this service.  This service is for leaf removal only.  Yard debris and tree limbs will not be removed with this service.

Limb Removal -
The City of Greenville will begin limb removal starting April 1st through September 30th for tree limbs 3" in diameter and 10" long. We ask that any leaves be in a separate pile from tree limbs. Contact the Street Department to schedule pick-up's on Fridays.

Snow Removal
The City of Greenville will plow the streets from curb to curb for any snowfall greater than 2 inches.  If this situation should occur, citizens should wait until the City has plowed by their residence before shoveling, this will eliminate the crews from plowing areas that the citizens have already shoveled.  Citizens are encouraged to park their vehicles in their driveway or alley where possible until their street is plowed from curb to curb.

Underground Digging
If you are planning any projects that require digging, you are required by law to call the Ohio Utilities Protection Services (OUPS) at 1-800-362-2764, 48 hours before you dig,  excluding weekends and holidays.  You are required by law to mark by paint or stakes and maintain the markings until all utilities have been marked.  In most cases, anything buried underground that is damaged, repair costs are charged to the person responsible.  Notifying and maintaining markings of where you are going to dig will help achieve a safer, delay-free project.
